Nose Dark cherry, spice, forest floor and hints of cigar box.
Hand harvested from 20 year Pinot Noir vines. Mixed clones of 667, 777, 10/5 115 and 114. This fruit was full and rich and fantastic. Each clone fermented separately in small open top fermenters. Hand plunged 4 times a day, giving deep colour as well as full flavour. 11 months of aging in a mixture new and seasoned French oak. Full malolactic fermentation resulting in a full and complex wine.

The “Pear Tree” Range, the epitome of wines made from our estate vineyards. Individual parcels of fruit are hand selected and tasted in the vineyard to show the absolute character of Marlborough. Our goal is to show the terroir of the vineyard and surroundings and simply, put it in a bottle.
Pairs beautifully with rich savoury meat dishes like Beef Bourguignon, slow roasted shoulder of lamb and Beef Wellington. The supple rich flavours of this Pinot Noir complement melting, Moorish flavours of slow cooked dishes.
